I have MANY, MANY High Grade Chains that I have collected over the last 13 years or more. They are everywhere in storage of Buckets and milk crates and I am running out of room. I'm sure that I may have 2000 to 2500 Chains if not more. I can only guess that I have the biggest collection of anyone in the whole state. Fore sure the biggest personal collection. Along with hammerlocks & Hooks. 9/32' to 3/4' sizes and of various lengths. Even lots of Chain Falls, aka Snatch blocks, aka block and tackle. They have high grade 9/32' chains on them. Nothing really on the short end except for a few. It alone just to see all of these in one spot is incredible. I'm tired of tripping over them and they are heavy to move. Due to medical reasons, I have decided to purge my collection. I always thought that it doesn't hurt to have some back ups. Just maybe not this many. I know they get broken or lost. Fall out of the truck or someone borrows it and doesn't return it. I know, Chains are expensive. I have many single Chains, and Spreaders as well. Aka Bridles, aka lifting chains. Some Larger sizes. I also have a Chain Package #1 that I bought from a friend of mine that consists of high grade Chains, Shackles,Clevises, and Hooks. They are stored in a crate. That crate is very heavy. Fits into a truck box. I hauled it home in a 3/4 ton truck as it is heavy. I have pics of that package and another Chain package #2 as well. That consists of the same type of high grade Chains and Hooks. It's a smaller Chain package. But they are stored in 19 five gallon buckets.Marked with caution tape on the handles, so I can tell the two Chain packages apart. Yes, I know I really do have 'miles' of Chains or 'Tons' of Chains. I know they are widely used by many. I have some in the truck just for pulling me or someone else out of the snow, grabbing a tree out of the way that has tipped over, tie down vehicles on the trailers etc. I'm sure you can think of many more uses. Especially working in a industry that you need these.
